Waking Up App by Sam Harris

I feel like doing an entire post on this app honestly. It’s THAT good. I’ve always struggled to meditate and this app is the reason why that all changed. Not only does he do the best guided meditations but there are also some pretty inspiring interviews inside there too. I’ve shared it with several loved ones who now meditate regularly because of it. In the time of Corona, this has been a life saver.

Houseplant Life

If you follow my IG stories, you already know how serious I’ve gotten about my new plants.

I purchased a Montsera that I named, “Sophia” and a Birds of Paradise called, “Coco”. I’ve never had a green thumb but I’ve committed myself to making sure these babies thrive. I purchased the Montsera from Home Depot and the Birds of Paradise I got from Etsy. The shop is called Tropical Plants of Florida. You can find them here.

Red Mandarin and Guava Threshold Candles from Target

I received this candle as a gift and was instantly in love.

Not only is it 10 bucks but it lasts forever and has this crisp yet citrusy smell that isn’t overpowering. I’ve bought these over and over since my first one and I love them in the living room. They are sold out often so I’m clearly not the only fan but if you catch them in stock, definitely give them try.

“Lights On” By Dsmoke & SiR

I’ve been a fan of Dsmoke since “Rhythm and Flow” aired and since then I’ve been super impressed with everything he has done. I’ll always stan SiR too. Dope stuff.

Regenerative Spiritual Reset Sounds

Managing my anxiety levels is an everyday endeavor and I’m always finding new tools. This spiritual reset vid helped me out alot when the pandemic started. I use it for meditation but it’s great for a hot bath when you need to reset too.

Skillshare Classes

For years I’ve been saying I wanted to take more online classes and just learn new things for the sake of expanding my skillset. Usually I’m taking a class that has to do with work and not personal enjoyment. The cool thing about Skillshare is that you can do both on one platform. I love the the classes are super specific and taught by real pros. I personally recommend Personal and Lifestyle Branding taught by Kate Arends of Wit & Delight

The And (Card game for couples)

I got this recommendation from Dayna Bolden and man….it’s so good. They have a family version but we bought the couples version and have played it off and on ever since. It forces us to ask questions that we don’t always think of and puts everything on the table in a new way. The website says:

“Ask your partner the questions you’re dying to know the answers to, but are too afraid to ask.

Using 199 questions taken right from our Emmy award-winning documentary experience, {THE AND} Couples Edition card game is a communication game designed to explore your connection and help deepen your relationship.

Whether playing for fun on a date night or to work through sensitive topics, these are conversations worth having in the romantic relationships of your life.”

It’s definitely a must get for couples! Watch a video about the game below.
